The results of the School Success Profile are useful to school districts, individual schools, special school programs, and after-school programs. School personnel, CIS staff, students, families and communities can use results from the SSP. First, it can be used as part of a needs assessment to inform school and community stakeholders about how youth in their community are doing. Second, the SSP is an assessment tool to inform and monitor prevention and intervention planning and programming. It can also be used to increase the accountability of local initiatives to their key stakeholders, including the school system in which they operate, their advisory boards and sponsors, and to the student participants themselves. CIS state and local programs can use the SSP to evaluate how well the CIS program is working for students. CIS local sites throughout the United States have used the SSP. |
